On Thursday, April 2nd, 2009, Warrant Officer, Tim Aleman received a warm welcome as he returned to Ramara by ambulance after serving with the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan.  Along the route he was greeted by bright yellow ribbons, sunny spring weather, and smiling well-wishers.  The contingent traveled along Highway 12 through Brechin, continued on to Orillia and eventually circled back to ultimately arrive at his Joyland Beach home.
