NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF TOWNSHIP OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 18 - STRAWBERRY ISLAND

TAKE NOTICE that on July 27, 2015, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Ramara enacted By-law No. 2015.39 adopting Amendment No. 18 to the Official Plan of the Township of Ramara.

OPA 18 designates Strawberry Island as "Island Accommodation (Strawberry Island)" and in part as "Natural Area Protection", instead of "Rural".

Funding Assistance for Wetland Projects

 Ducks Unlimited Canada logo

Ducks Unlimited Canada has a new program, called the Lake Simcoe Georgian Bay Wetland Collaborative, with funding available for landowners for wetland restoration projects through March 2017. Eligible projects include wetland restoration, livestock exclusion fencing and nesting boxes.  Ducks Unlimited Canada can cover up to 90% of the costs for these projects.
