The Township of Ramara has received notice today, January 7, 2025, from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that the blue - green algae blooms identified in 2024, impacting Lake St. John and the Southeast shoreline of Lake Dalrymple in the Township of Ramara have been resolved.

The Township of Ramara hereby proclaims July 29th, 2024 - August 11th, 2024, as Fierté Simcoe Pride. In honour of the two weeks of celebrations by Fierté Simcoe Pride, today we are raising the Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride flag.  Created by Valentino Vecchietti, this design celebrates the diversity of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, placing a greater emphasis on inclusion and progression given the addition of a yellow triangle with a purple circle representing the intersex community and rights.
