The public is welcome to attend or watch all open Council a\meetings held in the Council Chambers at 2297 Highway 12. These meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month starting at 9:30 a.m., subject to inclusion of Public meetings and other special Council meetings.
Ramara Council has adopted an updated procedure bylaw that will take effect on April 1, 2025. Please note that webpages will be updated to reflect the new changes.
Agendas and Minutes
The Township of Ramara's CivicWeb Portal is available to access all agendas, minutes and bylaws. The agendas for all Council meetings are available on the Portal by noon on the Friday before the scheduled meeting.
The Council Minutes, the official written record of the Township's Council decisions, are available electronically on our Ramara CivicWeb Portal.

Types of Meetings
Council and Committee of the Whole Meetings |
Starting April 1, the Committee of the Whole meetings are held within a regular Council meeting. Council meetings are held twice monthly on Mondays, except when Monday is a holiday. There will only be one monthly meeting in July, August and December. Council meetings will commence at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Administration Building, 2297 Highway 12, Brechin. |
Closed Meetings |
Closed meetings of Council are held to discuss confidential matters without the public or media present. Subject matters that may be held in closed session deal with the following:

Special Meetings |
Occasionally, a Special meeting of Council may be called at any time by the Mayor to deal with matters of an urgent nature. Twenty-four hours' notice is required, except in the case of a disaster. Special Meetings may also be held for the purpose of a Public Meeting under the Planning Act. |

A Council Information Package will be circulated weekly on Fridays, except when there are no items. This package will include copies of communications from the public, organizations, committees, or municipal staff. |
Attending a Council and Committee meeting
Please be advised that all Township Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers, located inside the Township Administration Building, and will be webcast, audio and video recorded.

All public meetings of Ramara Township Council are being streamed live on the Township of Ramara YouTube Channel. While meetings are open to the public, Council recognizes that not everyone can attend in person.
