Pre-Consultation Application

Zoning & Grading Review Application (Residential)

For most proposed residential projects greater than 50 square metres, a Zoning & Grading Review Application is required under Ramara's Building Bylaw, and is administered by the Planning Department. This application is required to ensure that the proposed development has appropriate grading, drainage, Ontario Building Code prescribed sewage system setbacks, and that it meets the requirements of Ramara's Zoning Bylaw

Exemption: Properties exempt from the Zoning & Grading Review submission are lots zoned Rural (RU), or Agriculture (AG) and 1.5 acres or larger. The property must be at least 1.5 acres as well as fall under one of the above noted zone categories for exemption to apply.

Site Plan Control Application

A Pre-consultation meeting is required prior to the submission of a non-residential Site Plan Application.  Please contact us to arrange a pre-consultation meeting to ensure that you have all of the requirements for a complete application submission.

Minor Variance (Committee of Adjustment)

Apply for a minor variance when your proposed building project requires a small change to the restrictions of the Township's Zoning Bylaw. We recommend that you contact the us prior to applying to the Committee of Adjustment to discuss the application.

Consent (Committee of Adjustment)

Apply for a consent when you want to sever a new lot, adjust the boundaries of an existing lot, or any other provision for consent as described under the Planning Act. We recommend that you contact the us prior to applying to the Committee of Adjustment to discuss the application.

Zoning Bylaw Amendments

Apply for a Zoning Bylaw Amendment when your land use proposal requires major changes to our Zoning Bylaw. Please contact us to arrange a pre-consultation meeting to ensure that you have all of the requirements for a complete application submission.

Apply for an Official Plan Amendment when your land use proposal requires a change to the Official Plan. Please note that most Official Plan Amendments also require a Zoning Bylaw Amendment. Municipal Support Resolution - Green Energy Application

The Green Energy Application Form is used to apply to the Township of Ramara for support of a renewable energy proposal.

A telecommunication tower application ensures that the construction of federally licensed telecommunication towers and associated infrastructure complies with Ramara's approved Telecommunication Tower Protocol.
