• A Class EA update was presented to Council on December 11, 2023. 
• A Public Information Centre was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.  
• Presentation to Council on August 12, 2024 regarding the conclusions and recommendations of the 2024 Draft EA Report

Written comments regarding the presentation on May 22 were accepted until June 7, 2024, to be considered in the study. The Draft Study report was brought forward to Council on August 12, 2024. Council concurred with the preferred solution of abandoning spray irrigation and replacing the system with a large effluent disposal bed.

Sewer Main Flushing Program

Sewer main flushing is a preventative maintenance operation that helps prevent sewer blockages, odour generation and premature wear of mechanical components.  Flushing of the sewer mains typically occurs every 5 years and is a planned capital project.  Sometimes flushing will occur prior to an inspection or repair of a sewer main.
