Find a new doctor
Learn how to find a new doctor in Ontario.
You'll need a valid Ontario health card to register and find a doctor with Health Care Connect.
You must remove your name from the patient list of your current doctor before you can find a new doctor through Health Care Connect. There are two ways you can de-roster:
- Contact your current doctor directly and asked to be removed from the patient list
- Contact Service Ontario
You're still able to visit your original doctor after you've been removed from the patient list and before you find a new doctor.

I need a family doctor, are you taking new patients? |
Good Doctors is a telemedicine walk-in clinic and does not sign up patients like a regular family doctor. But we understand that finding a new family doctor can be difficult so we do offer services to help while you are looking to find a more permanent family doctor. We can help manage chronic conditions, order tests and refer you to a medical specialist if needed. We also offer the ability to book an appointment with the same doctor so that you are being cared for by the same physician. |
What is a telemedicine clinic, and how does it work? |
Our clinic is staffed with registered practical nurses (RPN), registered nurses (RN) or clinical assistants from the local community. A typical patient encounter at one of our clinics would have a nurse document the patient’s medical complaint, history and medication list. The Nurse will connect the patient using Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) to one of our Ontario licensed physicians for a consultation over video. Our staff onsite remains with the patient for the consultation with the doctor and assists the doctor in any physical assessments or simple diagnostic testing that are necessary. |
