Pay a bill

The Township of Ramara has many methods for paying your property taxes, utility (water) bills or invoices. As well, to make paying your bills convenient, you can sign up for a pre-authorized payment plan and paperless billing.

Payment Methods

Online and telephone banking

To set us up as a payee, search “Ramara”. Choose one of three options – taxes, utilities or other/General Receivables. For taxes, use your 19-digit roll number that starts with “43-48” as your account number.

For all other payments, use your 10-digit customer number. Payments can take 2 to 5 business days to process.

Credit card payments

Credit Card Payments for utilities, taxes and accounts receivable can be process online through PaySimply. This secure, third-party payment provider applies a convenience fee to cover processing charges. Payments will be processed in 2 to 5 business days.

How do I make a payment

Choose the bill you need to pay: Accounts Receivable, Taxation or Utilities
Enter your account details:
- Email Address
- Account Holder Name (Business Name)
- Account Number
  - Accounts Receivable number is your 10-digit customer number.
    - If this is for a parking ticket, please enter '200000' followed by your ticket number.
  - Taxation is your 19-digit roll number that starts with "43-48."
  - Utilities is your 10-digit customer number
- Payment Amount
Choose payment option and complete transaction.

Your account will be credited once the processing is complete in generally 2-5 business days.

Does the Township of Ramara retain any of the fees being charged?

No, the fee that PaySimply assesses covers their cost of processing payments. The Township does not receive any portion of this fee.

If I make a payment online with my credit card, how long does it take for the payment to go through?

Normal credit card processing times apply. Payments are approved instantly, and processing make take from 2-5 business days.

Is there a PaySimply Mobile app?

Yes! On the app you can save your credit card to make convenient repeat payments, and setup notifications to be reminded when your payments are due.

Paperless Billing

Sign up and you will receive a PDF version of your tax and/or utility (water and sewer) bill delivered directly to your email account. The eBill will look exactly the same as your current paper bill.

Pre-authorized payment plan

Depending on what you're paying, you'll need to fill out a pre-authorized payment plan form for taxes or a pre-authorized payment plan form for utilities. You can also print the forms, fill it out and provide by mail or in person.

There is a drop box to the right of the main doors where cheque payments and forms can be dropped off. Please do NOT put cash in the drop box.

Pay at the bank

Your bank teller can make the payment for you. This option can take 2 - 5 business days to be processed on our end.

Mail

Cheques received by the due date or post-dated for the due date are accepted by mail. Any payments received after the due date will have interest added to them.

Late payment charges and penalty

There is interest/penalty added on the 1^st day of each month at a rate of 1.25%. We cannot waive the interest or penalty. You must make sure the payment reaches our office before the due date.
