In order to keep your pets safe, the Township of Ramara promotes responsible pet ownership through licensing and regulations.
Dog Licences
All owners of dogs within the Township boundaries need to licence their dogs annually. A dog licence helps us return your dog to you quickly in case it gets lost or goes missing.
Get a Dog Licence
The 2025 Dog Licence are available for purchase either online, by mail or in person.

Complete the online application form and submit it along with the fee (please include the correct amount). The form and payment can also be dropped off using the drop box at the Township Administration Centre. |

Fee
Dog Licence fees are an annual fee and any dog older than 3 months must be licensed.
- $20.00 (not including HST) per dog on or before February 28th each year
- $50.00 (not including HST) per dog after March 1st, each year
- $2.00 per tag for Replacement Tag
Regulations
- Dogs must be licensed annually
- Licences must be renewed before the last business day in February each year.
- Dogs tags must be securely fixed on the dog at all times until tag is renewed or replaced.
- Dog tags may be removed while dogs are lawfully being used for hunting in the bush.
- Any dog older than 3 months must be licensed.
- Limit of three dogs per household. (excluding kennels)
