Oversized Loads
The Municipality requires written notification in order to transport oversized loads over Township roads. Notification from the contractor needs to be provided in writing by email or in person at the Township Administration Building a minimum of one week before transport including:
- Date
- Time
- Route to be used
- Size
- Type of load
As a responsible contractor, it is your duty to contact any utilities that may be involved (example: Hydro). You are also accountable for any damages to Township roads or signs that occur during transport.
A permit is not required for Township roads. Contractors who transport goods over provincial or county roads should contact MTO, CN, and the County of Simcoe.
