Mayor Update
Deputy Mayor Gough opened the meeting on behalf of Mayor Clarke, who had a prior engagement. Deputy Mayor Gough advised that M.P. Chambers, M.P.P. Dunlop, Mayor Clarke and himself attended the 10th Annual Ramara Classic Car Show hosted by the Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, July 16, 2022. He advised that the event was a great success with 254 cars registered, different types of vendors and the biggest turnout of spectators in many years.
CAO Update
CAO Drinkwalter announced that Manon Higgins is Ramara's new Director of Finance/Treasurer. Manon started with the Township in April as the Deputy Treasurer and was the successful applicant for the Treasurer position. Manon brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position with over 18 years of municipal government experience as Treasurer, Senior Accounting Clerk and Tax Collector.

Request to cut trees within Municipal road allowance
The members of the Council received a deputation from Craig Stortz requesting permission to cut trees within the municipal road allowance located at Switch Road and McMillan Sideroad. Staff will bring a report with information and recommendations to a future Committee of the Whole meeting.
Consent Agenda
Fierte Simcoe Pride Proclamation
The Township of Ramara proclaims July 25 to August 7, 2022, as Fierte Simcoe Pride. The Pride flag will be raised on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office in recognition of the diversity of our community and honouring the lives and contributions of people of all gender and sexual diversities throughout the County.
Good Doctors Quarterly Update
Since December 1, 2021, over 2000 visitors have accessed the services through the Good Doctor in Ramara. With onsite nursing support, this partnership has provided the community with local access to medical services and health and wellness support. The Good Doctor Medical Clinic, located at 3242 Ramara Road 47, is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents can access licensed physicians and medical services for non-urgent care, such as treatment for acute medical concerns and chronic care management. Items Requiring Immediate Attention of Council
Zoning Bylaw Amendment Z-3/22 Hannan
The Zoning Bylaw Amendment, as a condition of approval for the consent, restricts future residential uses on the retained lands to protect the agricultural use at 3168 Concession Road 11. The severance intends to convey the surplus farm dwelling and continue ownership and consolidation of the retained lands with existing family agricultural operations.

Bills and Bylaws
Planning Application Pre-Consultation
Council passed a Bylaw that requires applicants to consult with the municipality prior to submitting an application for an Official Plan amendment, Zoning Bylaw amendment, Site Plan approval, Plan of Subdivision or Condominium approval. Site Plan Control
Council passed a Bylaw that delegates the Director of Building and Planning to approve Site Plans on Council's behalf. Also, development subject to site plan approval is expanded to include lots less than 1.5 acres in size and designated Rural or Agriculture.
Planning Fees Bylaw Update
Council passed a bylaw to amend Bylaw 2020.15 - A Bylaw to establish a tariff of fees for the processing of planning applications, including the fee for a Committee of Adjustment Certificate of Cancellation at $500.00.
Discretionary Septic Reinspection Program Amendment
Council passed a Bylaw to amend Bylaw 2019.73 - A Bylaw to authorize the implementation of a discretionary sewage system maintenance inspection program - to include the following amendment:
- A receipt of septic pump out from a certified septic hauler from 2020, 2021 and prior to June 6, 2022 will be sufficient proof of a septic tank inspection for properties in this year's Septic Re-inspection program.
