Council appoints the Committee of Adjustment, as described in the Planning Act, to oversee specific planning applications. The Committee of Adjustment reviews consent and minor variance applications for the Township of Ramara. You can attend and speak at a committee meeting, or ask us for further information about an application. The Committee of Adjustment has its own Rules of Procedure to be followed by all applicable parties.

Meetings

There is one Committee of Adjustment meeting every month to discuss the applications received by the submission deadline. Please note that submissions submitted after the specified deadline will be on the next Committee of Adjustment meeting.

Agendas and Minutes

An agenda will be available before the meeting that will include all of the applications for the upcoming meeting. The Planning Department will also include a report for each application on the agenda. All meetings are recorded and the minutes will be available to the public.

Members

Council appoints local residents to the Committee for the same term as Council. In addition to the members appointed by Council, a member of staff acts as secretary treasurer.
