Ramara, ON/ March 27, 2025 – The Township of Ramara welcomes Laura Pye as the new Director of Infrastructure.
Council authorized the hiring of Ms. Pye at the March 24, 2025, Council meeting.

Her extensive experience in municipal infrastructure management and her leadership in water and wastewater services will be invaluable to our community. We look forward to her contributions as she leads the Township’s efforts to enhance and maintain our essential infrastructure.”

Ms. Pye brings more than 20 years of progressive municipal experience, particularly in water and wastewater management. She has held positions at the Township of Severn, Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, and, most recently, the City of Orillia as Director of Water and Wastewater. She brings proven abilities in building a network of well-performing and maintained assets and the human resources critical for delivering infrastructure services to residents, visitors, and businesses.

Ms. Pye will start her new role in the near future and will lead the Township’s Infrastructure Department, which oversees municipal infrastructure services, including roads, municipal water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, parks, trails, facilities, and capital projects. She will also sit on the Township’s Senior Leadership Team.
“Ms. Pye’s proven track record in managing complex infrastructure systems and her commitment to effective service delivery and continuous improvement will be a tremendous asset to the Township of Ramara. Her leadership and expertise will play a key role in guiding our infrastructure projects and ensuring we continue to provide high-quality services to our community.”
