TAKE NOTICE that in accordance with section 11(3)(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. a municipality may pass by-laws respecting highways, including parking and traffic on highways;

AND THAT pursuant to Bylaw 2003.02 A Bylaw Outlining Procedures for Notices, the Corporation of the Township of Ramara (hereby referred to as “the Township”) intends to pass a bylaw at their Council meeting on March 25^th, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. to stop-up and temporarily close a portion of Concession Road 5, west of ON Highway-12 to Lagoon City. A map indicating the proposed temporary closure is included in Schedule A, attached and forming part of this public notice.

COUNCIL of the Township proposes to temporarily close the public highway after its meeting on March 25^th, 2024, until such time that the road allowance can be upgraded and opened as a public highway, pursuant to the Grade Crossings Regulations SOR/2014-275 under the Railway Safety Act, R.S.C., 1985, c. 32.

ANY PERSON wishing to comment on the proposed stop-up and temporary closure is requested to submit comments in writing by 4:00 p.m. on the 25^th day of March, 2024 to the Clerk of the Township at 2297 Highway 12, PO Box 130 Brechin, Ontario L0K 1B0.

THE COUNCIL of the Township will give consideration to all submissions received at the meeting to be held on March 25^th, 2024.
