NOTICE OF PESTICIDE USE

MOSQUITO CONTROL (LARVICIDING)

Public notice is given that the Council of the Township of Ramara will be conducting an aerial mosquito control program between April 1, 2025, and May 15, 2025 in the area of the Township along the shore of Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching from the Talbot River in the south to Fawn Bay in the north.

The program will utilize one (1) aerial application of the Biological Larvicide Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis, VectoBac 200G Biological Mosquito Larvicide, granular formula.  Pesticide Registration Number 18158.  Application will be by a Bell 206 helicopter and/or a Robinson R44 helicopter with AZS granular applicator.

A map of the areas to be treated and details of the program may be requested by email from the Township Office at ramara@ramara.ca or on the Township website.
